Welcome to the Billingham Tidy Up website

Billingham Tidy up group is made up entirely of volunteers who collect, remove & where possible, pass on litter for recycling from areas identified as badly affected by litter. We undertake litter collections in our local area on a group basis and through smaller or individual contributions by our members. Group litter picks take place most frequently on Sunday, but we occasionally meet on other days of the week too. Sometimes we carry out other activities to improve the appearance of Billingham such as the cleaning of street signs.
Our litter collection activities started in February 2020 but had to be reduced or stopped at times to comply with Covid 19 restrictions that were in force during 2020 and early 2021.

Over the years we have been very grateful to receive donations and grants, which have been used mainly to invest in litter picking equipment.

Our long term hope is to extend the scope of the group to undertake activities to improve the appearance of Billingham and surrounding areas.
We hope you find this website informative and if you live in Billingham please do your bit to help keep our town as tidy as possible. If you want to know more about the group and might be interested in becoming part of the group, please E-Mail us via: billinghamtidyup@gmail.com
